Neha Kamboj has been learning Bharatha Natyam for the past twelve years from Smt. Kalyani Shanmugarajah and completed her Arangetram in July of 2005. Through the Kalapeetham School of Dance and Music, Neha performed in a variety of shows around the community, including the Archana Program in May 2005, the Survivors Charity Program (organized by Kalapeetham) in July 2005, and Fashion for the Cure in October 2005. The proceeds from both Survivors and Fashion for the Cure were given to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Along with Bharatha Natyam, Neha has a love for many other dance forms such as Modern, African, Ballroom and Salsa. Neha has a keen interest in her Indian culture and has been performing various religious, folk and film dances and dramas in cultural events throughout Southern California since the age of four. She also worked with her mom to organize the first ever Diwali show in Santa Clarita. Neha is currently attending College of the Canyons in Valencia and will be transferring to California State University, Fullerton in January of 2009.
