Anjana Pathmarajah
Anjana Pathmarajah has been learning Bharatha Natyam under her Guru, Kalyani Shanmugarajah since the age of seven.  At the age of nine, Anjana also began to attend the Dhananjayans Yogaville Dance Camp regularly.  She performed her arangetram in 2000 under the guidance of both Kalyani Shanmugarajah and Sri Bhagavatalu Sita Rama Sharma and has extensively participated in programs conducted by the Kalapeetham School of Dance in Southern California.  In 2006, Anjana and her two sisters debuted in the Thirukkural Bharatam, a dance production innovatively choreographed by the Dhanajayans.  Presented in India, Canada, England, and in the States, the funds raised were donated to the welfare of the destitute children of Chennai through Nandala Mission (nandalala.com), as well as orphans and tsunami victims of Sri Lanka through Visions (www.visionsforthefuture.org).   Anjana completed her BS in Exercise and Sports Science with a minor in Neuroscience at the University of San Francisco.  She will be attending Columbia University in the Fall of 2009 to obtain her Master’s in Public Health through the Forced Migration and Health Program. She has dedicated the next year to the implementation of the Visions Global Health Program and hopes to make a difference in the lifestyles of the impoverished through Public Health education and awareness.
